Darkness

The darkness surrounds me everyday
As it does the light starts to dim
No one knows the thoughts that are in your head

The ones that say you are not meant to be loved
You are not good enough
You are not pretty enough

In the darkness these thoughts seem so big and you feel so small
The darkness won't be around long
Because you have learned to pull yourself out of it

So the light can return
And you can see you deserve love
You are enough and you are beautiful

The darkness can't hide you anymore
