Heart On My Sleeve

What type of people wear their heart on their sleeve 
Well people just like me
This is a very good way to get hurt
And hurt often
We expect something is there
When it is not
To want something
You know you’ll never have 
To put your feelings as well as yourself out there
Knowing damn well you’re going to get hurt
So how can you stop this never ending cycle
You can’t
You are who you are
You are what you are
And you can’t change that 
That’s why you can’t change the fact
That you wear your heart on your sleeve
