Abandoned

In our lives we all feel abandoned
By those we love
Be it our friends or family
Sadly this feeling never goes away as the years pass
We bring it along in our lives
It is usually in the back of our minds
Never knowing if it will ever happen again
Sometimes it happens intentionally
And others by accident 
Not realizing what damage has been done
I’m sorry won’t fix this hurt
Or change the outcome
Of the walls that go up
When you are abandoned by those in your life
There life will never be the same 
Your love will never be the same 
The mind remembers and waits for the next one to abandon them
