Damaged Goods

She is damaged goods
She has been broken, used and taken for granted
She was never appreciated for the true person she was 
With every person who came in and out of her life
They took a piece of her with them
She became completely lost in a world of sadness and heartbreak
She was looked at as damaged goods
Who would want someone like that 
Sometimes the most broken are the ones who are worth the most
Because even though she is so damaged 
She walks with her head held high and a smile on her face
She knows her perfect match is out there
The one who won’t look at her as damaged goods
But see the person behind the scars
Who is worth it and they are willing to take that chance on her
On the damaged one
Because they see her for her
And not the damaged goods she sees
